Easy Almond Biscotti Recipe

My almond biscotti is crunchy and flavorful – and so easy to make!


  • 1 cup butter, softened

  • 1 cup brown sugar

  • 3 eggs

  • 1 tsp almond extract or Amaretto

  • 3 cups flour

  • 1 tbsp baking powder

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1 cup chopped, blanched almonds


  • Preheat oven to 300 F.
  • In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time and beat until combined. Add the extract and beat.
  • Combine the flour, baking powder and salt in a separate bowl. Add the flour mixture, a little at a time, to the butter mixture, and stir well until combined. Stir in the almonds.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Divide the dough in half and form each half into an even rectangle, place each rectangle onto the baking sheet.
  • Bake for 35 minutes. Remove to wire racks and let sit for 15 minutes. Increase the oven to 325 F.
  • Transfer the biscotti to a cutting board and gently slice each rectangle into approximately 3/4 inch slices. Place on baking sheet.
  • Bake for 10 minutes; flip and bake for another 10 minutes.
